I really haven’t posted anything of significance since February; a few things commenting on stuff in the world, but nothing about me personally.

I’m liking life pretty well right now. Let’s look at the good things going on:

  • Carrie and I are at 85% of our support, only 15% to go.
  • We’re headed out to Ft. Collins, CO on the 7th of July till th 30th.
  • Moraine State Park’s disc golf course is open and amazing!
  • I have a new tattoo to accompany the one I got in September.
  • Carrie and I are moving in mid-August to a 3 1/2 bedroom house for $450/mo.
  • I am in the best shape of my life.
  • We’ve made it 10 months and I’m still glad I married her.
  • She still is glad too!

In general I am loving life right now. I picked up a new hobby; one that some might think of as ‘unchristian’ – whatever. I’ve been getting into cigars lately. I still don’t have a favorite, but enjoy sitting on my front porch and watching traffic go by and smoking a nice mild cigar. I have a sampler pack that I picked up today from a shop down in Slippery Rock for $10, it has 10 different types of cigars in it.

Also, the disc golf course at Moraine State Park is sooooo good! It’s a perfectly hard course: woods, fields, hooks, slices, precision; it has it all. I played the front 9 before rain rolled in on Saturday and bogeyed pretty much every hole, or at least averaged that. It’s actually pretty good for me; I really want to improve my game. I’m looking forward to some wide open courses in Colorado, fun to just go all out!

Okay, I guess that’s sufficient for now. I’ll try to keep up with this more.

    Hello all.

I have been reading Eats, Shoots and Leaves for a couple days now; I have been inspired! I have created a spot for people to contribute examples of the wretched grammar that we’re bombarded with every day.

    Aim your browser at: http://lynnetruss.blogspot.com

So far I have one example of what I’m looking for. I’m hoping for pictures of the grevious errors you see every day.

I know, this could constitue spam on this community. I apologise and will not be offended if it is deleted.

    Thanks,
    Jayson

Road Sign Math These signs are the easiest to identify and almost always (perhaps always) require 3 or more numbers on the sign. A basic sign uses addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to tie all the numbers together. Examples of basic math signs would include. This most basic form of Road Side Math is a [...]

Yesterday I commented that I wonder what James Dobson/Focus on the Family would have to say about this. I didn’t mean that as a snide remark or a hypothetical – I emailed them today to see what they would say. I made sure to not put any spin on my email – just asked them [...]
