My friend Kachina let me in on this story. Which is pretty cool, it’s a service that Google’s recently acquired Grand Central has offered for a while now.
“Don’t be evil,” they say.

we have something like that up here in my town. it’s awesome, especially when you are a social worker trying to get your homeless clients a place to live and a job and some food and other stuff- like trying to find out if they froze to death during the last cold snap. That’s a great message… “hi, um, joe? it’s lora. call me if you’re not dead, okay? just a quick call to check in with me is fine.”
