We were able to take control of Pastor Mark's Twitter account and have him using it regularly now. It was VERY tough to find out who had the account. Twitter's privacy policy is in full force by their staff. However, I have recently learned that you can stop someone who is posting to Twitter falsely. They have some steps you can take to preserve your name, especially if you are a higher profile individual.

I'd say it might be polite to let Arlington Alert know that you've hooked them up. Or set the email address for the account to the email address of the web admin there. :)

P.S. Your CAPTCHA system is crap. :) I had to enter it more than 10 times to get it.

Someone actually did that for our head pastor's blog and they have no idea who set it up. It's nothing but the links to his posts, but we don't know who set it up. Weird.

Brilliant idea! I\'ve used TwitterFeed in the past but turned it off. But I hadn\'t thought of taking someone else\'s rss and turn it into a twitter acct!
