I am convinced that all bloggers secretly want to be Malcolm Gladwell.

I alone am responsible for all content on this page. It reflects my opinion only and not necessarily that of my employer, any organization I'm a member of or any other person.
Seriously, who would choose me as a representative of an entire organization's view on anything. That's just silly. I don't even trust my opinions.

I’ve never heard of him, but I’m wondering if he is someone who I would want to be. Should I google him? If I don’t, I’ll be thinking about him non stop for days. If I do, I might find out that I really DO want to be him and I’ll be upset that I’m not.
Gah. Now I wish I was him just because if I was, at least I’d know who the heck Melvin… wait… Maxwell…
Hold on, I have to scroll up…
Malcolm Gladwell is.
I just wiki’ed him. Nope, I’d rather be me. Not only have I never heard of anything he’s ever done (other than the New Yorker, which I’ve never read because who needs to READ anything when the COVER is the best part?) but I’m way cuter.
He’s written 4 books. I’m finishing the 4th now which is a collection of his New Yorker articles.
The thing that he does really well is create understanding of some previously-esoteric topic by comparing it to something else similarly unfamiliar and then draws parallels between them. These are the type of blog that I like best, when someone is able to pull lessons out of everyday life things. They take something that I don’t quite understand and relate it to something that I don’t understand completely, but a little better (their life) and draw parallels between them and teach me something.
You should absolutely read two of his books: The Tipping Point and Outliers.
I will, as soon as I’m done with my spree of John Irvings!
